Ms. Rabeea Shah

A sociologist with almost 20 years’ national and international experience in human services, policy, advocacy and research on human rights with communities, NGOs, CBOs, UN and governments. She worked extensively in developing and managing programs revolving social, political and economic empowerment of women, girls and marginalized groups, gender integration/mainstreaming in programs and within organizations, and capacity development of state and non-state actors including government bodies and line departments on prevention, response and advocacy for gender base violence (GBV), and violence against women (VAW) survivors. She developed evidence-led strategies, intervention packages and frameworks to influence social and economic transformation of communities on human rights, based on the findings of more than 30 researches that she led. She facilitated more than 100 group discussions and organized around 200 events with guest speakers and researchers. She also drafted more than 15 government policy documents and led policy advocacy process by engaging more than 700 governments, non-government and funding partners.
